In Sian Ka’an you can go diving and snorkeling. Menorca outdoor activities

Menorca has plenty to offer which is why it manages to maintain a healthy tourist trade. But aside from the usual sun,sea and sand, it has one particular strength and that is its range of outdoor activities. They are not all strenuous activities so it manages to reach out to a diverse range of tourists looking to enjoy themselves without having to reply on the sun whilst they top up tehir tan on the beach all day. So let’s explore some of these activities a little bit further.

Scuba Diving. Menorca is the perfect destination for anyone who enjoys scuba diving. There are over forty five diving sites in fact and courses and tuition are available if needed. Tuition is offered to divers of all levels. The site that received the most amount of attention is The Malakoff Wreck although it is certainly more advanced than beginner-friendly.

Walking. There a huge array of tracks in Menorca and some offer wonderful hiking opportunities. There is history all around and the gorges are perfect for ramblers. There are plans under way to restore a coastal path that extends along the coastline and is due to be completed shortly. It is called the Came de Cavalls. There are sections which are open already.

Sailing. There are some great places in Menorca for sailing and they offer equipment along with other facilities for the newbie as well as the advanced. Considered to be the sailing capital of Menorca, Ses Salines has various kinds of racing dingies including Wayfarer and Lasers. They also offer tuition for all grades and also allow you to take the RYA exams.

Golf. Although there is only the one golf course, Son Parc has pretty much everything. Situated in the North of Menorca, this eighteen-hole course is set in some stunning surroundings and its facilities include a driving range, putting green and restaurant. You can hire clubs and carts also. It further has a tennis course so if you feel like upping the pace a bit, you can spend your time practising your serve and volley with your fellow golf buddies.
